Industrial Parts Manufacturers Directory: OEM Brands and Manufacturer Part Numbers (MPN)

RFQ-ready hardware & fastener sourcing.

This directory lists the manufacturers whose parts are catalogued on Engineered Parts Supply, covering safety, material handling, electrical, abrasives, hand tools, pumps and fasteners & hardware. Parts can be located by brand name or by manufacturer part number (MPN), and each manufacturer page lists its available part numbers.

What Is a Manufacturer (OEM) in Industrial Parts Sourcing?

An original equipment manufacturer (OEM) is the company that designs and produces a part and assigns its manufacturer part number (MPN), the identifier that defines the part exactly. A distributor does not produce the part; it supplies parts made by manufacturers and catalogued under their brand names.

Identifying the manufacturer is important because:

  • An MPN is only reliable within its brand, and the same number can appear under different manufacturers

  • Specifications, ratings and datasheets are defined by the manufacturer

  • OEM, equivalent and aftermarket parts can differ in fit, warranty and compliance

  • Series or revision suffixes can change compatibility

Confirming the brand and the full MPN before ordering reduces the risk of mismatched parts, returns and unplanned downtime.

Browse Industrial Parts by Manufacturer

Parts in this catalog are organized by manufacturer, so a part can be found whether the search starts from a brand, a part number or only a part type. All three routes lead to the same catalog and the same manufacturer pages.

There are three ways to search:

  • By manufacturer name: brands are grouped under 0-9 and A through Z

  • By manufacturer part number (MPN): the full part number, including any prefix or suffix, returns the exact match

  • By product category: a category such as Safety, Electrical or Pumps lists the manufacturers that supply that type of part

Each manufacturer page lists its available part numbers, and a quote can be requested from any listing.

Sourcing Standards, Certifications and RFQ Process

Parts supplied through this directory are handled under quality, counterfeit-avoidance and handling standards that apply to distributors of aviation, electronic and industrial components. Engineered Parts Supply lists the following certifications and registration:

  • FAA AC 00-56B: the FAA advisory circular that sets quality system requirements for the voluntary accreditation of aviation parts distributors

  • AS6081: the SAE standard for avoiding, detecting, mitigating and disposing of counterfeit electronic parts in distribution

  • ANSI/ESD S20.20: the standard for an electrostatic discharge (ESD) control program that protects sensitive electronic parts during handling, storage and shipping

  • ITAR registration: registration with the U.S. Department of State for companies that manufacture, export or broker defense articles under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations

Each request is also checked by manufacturer name and full MPN against the manufacturer’s catalog data for series, revision and configuration before a quote is issued. A quote request needs the manufacturer, the MPN and the required quantity, and can be sent through the RFQ forms, by email at sales@engineeredpartssupply.com or by phone at +1 (714) 705-4780.

FAQs

Is an OEM the same as a distributor?

No, an OEM designs and produces the part, while a distributor supplies parts made by manufacturers.

Can two manufacturers use the same part number?

Yes, an MPN is assigned per manufacturer, so the same number can exist under different brands.

Does the suffix in a part number matter?

Yes, a suffix often indicates revision, series or configuration, which can affect compatibility.

Are OEM and aftermarket parts always interchangeable?

No, they can differ in fit, specifications and warranty terms, so the datasheet should be checked.

Does AS6081 apply to distributors of electronic parts?

Yes, AS6081 defines counterfeit-part avoidance and detection practices for distributors.
